Dear Parents, Visitors, Friends and Players
We are excited to be welcoming you to our beautiful campus at Michaelhouse. It is a privilege to host such a range of schools from all over Southern Africa and to sense how wonderful it is for boys to be competing against teams against which, for geographical reasons, they are generally not able to play. That is one of the huge benefits of such a festival.
I know that the boys will be competitive, but trust that they will also play in the right spirit: giving 110% on the field, but accepting the norms and standards associated with the laws of the game and, above all, that they will be respectful of referees, officials and of our environment.
I also hope that the boys and parents from differing schools will go out of their way to make new friends. Therein lies another purpose of such a festival.
I wish you enjoyable matches in which you play at your best and I wish you skill and luck for the rest of the season.
